CHRISTINE HEFFERNAN

Christine is responsible for rebuilding trust in the Tesco brand globally and its businesses. She was appointed Group Communications Director for Tesco PLC, joining the Executive Committee, in March 2019. Christine joined Tesco in 2014 as Tesco Ireland's Corporate Affairs Director and member of the Tesco Ireland board, a position she held until October 2018 when she became Executive Director to the Group CEO. Prior to that Christine held senior communications positions inBord Gais and Vodafone. She also worked in HM Treasury and the European Parliament. Christine holds an Executive MBA from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a BA (Mod) in History and Political Science from Trinity Colleague Dublin. She has served as a board director for Threshold, Ireland's national housing charity, since 2012 and forRepak (2016-2018)
