Client: London Youth
London’s disadvantaged youths grow up within sight of the world’s biggest businesses. But due to inequalities and biases, they lack the resources and connections to access jobs at these firms. Leaving 16–24-year-old Londoners the most at-risk of unemployment in the UK.
For young people, London Youth’s centres are more than a safe place to go after school. They provide employability programs that help them survive London’s infamously competitive job market.
But between the cost-of-living crisis and government cuts, the youth sector is crumbling. A third of London’s youth clubs are facing permanent closure.
So, London Youth needed to find new corporate leads to continue supporting young people. But how could a small charity get the attention of the most inaccessible businesses and individuals in the world?
We hacked the job market, turning London’s live job ads into a brand-new, totally free, direct media channel. Giving London Youth unprecedented contact with corporate elites.
This innovative approach allowed London Youth to compete with larger charities and their bigger media budgets. After just 4 weeks, they had 8x more corporate leads than they previously averaged in 12-18 months. And, big corporates were asking to find out more, offering support and requesting follow-up meetings.
