Barley has had a fantastic year and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved. Revenue from the first half of our 23/24 financial year exceeded 22/23 by 36%, setting us on track to deliver sustained year-on-year growth.
Our phenomenal growth means more positive impact for our clients on issues that matter. We’re delighted to have won several new clients and that a number of existing clients have chosen both to extend their contracts and trust us to take on more work for them. Alongside our ongoing organic growth, in September 2023 we acquired the purpose and sustainability portfolio of another agency, bringing on four new clients. We’ve also generated high levels of client satisfaction through the quality of our work and the service we provide, as the results of our 2023 client survey attest.
We remain committed to walking our talk when it comes to our values. We don’t greenwash or ‘purpose’-wash and we never will, as we believe this is essential to bringing about sustainable positive change for society and the planet.
We’re particularly proud to have become a certified B Corp in August 2023. We achieved a comparatively high score of 114.1 in this famously difficult assessment, reinforcing our dedication to conducting business in a way that benefits people, communities and the planet.
In August 2023, we also launched ‘Purpose Plus’– bringing together our commitments to purposeful work which revolve around three core themes: ‘people’, ‘work and our clients’ and ‘the environment and the wider world’.
