Homeless Christmas Dinner
Mischief
Client: Soup Kitchen
Soup Kitchen, a London-based independent charity, has been a beacon of hope for the homeless and vulnerable.
Their annual Christmas dinner is a highlight, offering patrons not just a meal but an experience of warmth and community. This event stands out as a special occasion, providing hot, nourishing meals complete with all the traditional trimmings, as well as gifts and a carol performance.
Wonderhood Studios and Mischief PR devised a stand-out creative campaign that shone a light on this event, with the focus of driving donations as well as showcasing the charity's commitment to providing mental health support and a sense of belonging.
Ten homeless patrons of the Soup Kitchen were interviewed, telling their Christmas dinners of the past.
These were then turned into a beautiful photo series, highlighting the sparse and bleak options homeless people had endured – whilst the rest of us tuck into a delicious meal.
As well as achieving significant media coverage and talkabilty online, the campaign drove an 18% uplift in donations compared to the weeks leading up to the Christmas Dinner event the year before and £25,000 in donations for the charity.
