Room to Breathe
Pixel Artworks
‘Room to Breathe,’ the world’s first free immersive mindfulness experience opened in Outernet London, a new immersive culture, media and music district at Tottenham Court Road. With the aim of educating and soothing anxious Londoners, the installation guided the audience through the box-breathing technique, to help melt away the commute and equip them with tools to manage everyday anxiety.
Clouds rolled across a sky of light on the world’s largest high-res wraparound LED screens, whilst the spatial audio invited a moment of calm. Everything from floor to ceiling worked as one to completely immerse the audience. The experience was based on the science of box breathing combined with studies of relaxing visuals and sounds.
