Despite advances in research, men’s health remains in crisis, with men dying on average 5 years earlier than women for largely preventable reasons. In the UK, three out of four suicides are men and prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, with one man dying from the disease every 45 minutes.

For twenty years Movember has been lifting the profile of men’s health, and the driving force behind this is our ‘Mo Community’ of fundraisers; the walking, talking billboards for men’s health that rally together to advocate, break down the barriers, and raise money to fund critical prostate and testicular cancer research, mental health and suicide prevention programs around the world. Men who take part in Movember are more than twice as likely to seek help for their mental wellbeing and nearly twice as likely to identify the signs of poor mental wellbeing in others. 

The 2023 fundraising campaign in October-November saw the launch of brand new creative, ‘The Moustache Is Calling’, which was brought about to reinvigorate participation around the world and bring back the brand edge. The campaign was successful in growing our ‘Mo Community’ and consequently growing fundraising which continues to grease the wheels for achieving our vision. This has been evident through the impressive upward trajectory in the UK since its first paid media campaign in 2017, with registered fundraisers at +7.6% YoY & +103% vs 2017 and funds raised at +13% YoY & +140% vs 2017.
